Book Review: Into the Fray

In Matt Mikalatos’ book Into the Fray, he retells the book of Acts with a modern twist. Through cleverly renamed characters in contemporary settings, the disciples’ story is unfolded. “Dr. Lucas” is researching the events surround Jesus’s life and gathering information about what occurred not only during his ministry but also what followed as a direct result. Each chapter beings with a retelling of the story, and is followed by the explanation and correlation to the bible. Life application and direction is also given by Mikalatos throughout the pages of his book. Into the Fray gives readers the chance to imagine what it would be like if Jesus and the disciples were walking the earth with us today, and what that ministry would look like.
